Country Assignments For HIR
As you probably know, in HIR class you will become an expert on a country that will be your main country to which you will devote most of your attention. Be sure to include specific policies in your paper: ECONOMY, trade relations, current social situation, human rights, international standing, and involvement, among others that are important to your specific country.
In September, you will be engaged in General Policy debate. You have to have a good sense of your country’s foreign policy by mid-September. Therefore, you will be alerted to your country assignments by the end of June so you can begin reviewing and paying attention to what is going on in the world today.
